Art Fair pics

What a day we had! Everything was perfect - the weather, the artists, the entertainment, the venue. All we were missing was shoppers. Next year, right?

Here are a few pics from the day. Enjoy!
(FYI - my pics are out of order but my computer is misbehaving so they are just going to have to remain this way.)

Tomorrow's the big day!

Can you believe after a week of rain the sun is finally out! And I have to say the timing is perfect. The weather was gloomy and dark all week so I was able to stay inside and focus on my sewing projects, and now we have a perfect day waiting for us tomorrow.

There is going to be so much to see and do in Northeast - I hope you are able to spend the day touring galleries, shopping and eating local foods. Here's a link if you need some idea's of where to go and what to do.

In case you need a bag to put all your goods in, you can stop in at Yinghua's art fair where
yours truly will have plenty of charming bags for sale.

Here's a little peak!

Pop Top Art!

I am always amazed at the way people are able to create something neat out of, well, garbage. My pop bottle caps end up in the trash, but this artist has found a way to incorporate them into all sorts of funky items, like this wall clock.

How fun is that?

Check her out here, or at Yinghua's Art Fair on May 15th.

Glass Art

One of the reasons I am so excited for Yinghua's Art Fair is the variety of artists that we have joining us that day. Julie at Evoke Gallery will be selling her glass art that day as well.

She can make some amazing serving pieces with recycled glass. She also has a few pieces with an Asian theme........ perfect for Yinghua!

I already blogged about this artist.....

..... but I am so excited to share more of her work with you! Look what she made in honor of the Yinghua Art Fair! I already know which one I want to hang in my house.

A Little Garden Art

I had very good intentions of updating the blog regularly with all of our artists! I have been so busy sewing items for my table that I haven't had time to sit down at the computer.

So better late than never? Right?

This is a picture of a recent masterpiece that my neighbor, Mitch, made for my front yard. He will be selling them and a varied assortment of other garden art at the Yinghua Art Fair. I have had mine in the garden for about one month now and it is starting to develop that perfect rusty finish we all love to see. Mitch doesn't have a website but you can find his work at the Art Fair on May 15th.

Little Big Pants

True to our theme of a children focused art fair, we have another great artist who shares our passion. Terra's little creations are ever so cute - I think I might even want one for myself.

Check out her shop "Little Big Pants" on Etsy.

What do you think? Do you need one too?
